Here we come!
Located in the Pacific Ocean, about 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, the Galápagos Islands are a place where nature reigns supreme. This archipelago, consisting of 19 breathtaking islands and numerous islets, boasts a unique ecosystem that inspired Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. Each island is a testament to the ongoing forces of creation and transformation, offering a living laboratory for biologists, environmentalists, and nature enthusiasts alike.
Seven undergraduate students from Baylor University will be embarking on a month-long journey among these islands, participating in global health and conservation research as well as unforgettable adventures. This blog will help students reflect on and record their experiences, and will be updated regularly throughout the trip.
We will land in Ecuador on July 8th, and we can't wait to share!
