DAY 26 IN ECUADOR!
Hello hello, Amanda here to tell you about the amazing day we had today.
Today August 4th was a very special day but before I tell you why let me explain a bit more about what we did. We began our morning by all sharing a lovely breakfast at our hotel. We then went over to the pier and reminisced on the places we surveyed and familiar faces while waiting for our boat. Then we headed over to Tortuga Bay Beach located on the south side of the island. It gets its name from the many turtles present which we actually got to see. We got to spend a few hours at this white sand beach reading, sleeping and visiting the surfing competition. After the beach we came back into town and had lunch at “Descanso del Guía”. We have been there couple of times and the food is always tasty and filling. At lunch a very special someone received a birthday gift and a few notes from all of us. That’s right, today was special because it is Dr.M’s birthday. We are so grateful to have him as our professor on this trip. He is so dedicated to this program and we are so glad to have worked on this research with him. We appreciate everything Dr.M has done for us. Thank you for sharing your birthday with us!
