Day 13 in Ecuador

We began our day between 8:00-8:30 AM with a gourmet breakfast prepared by the one and only Nelly, the heart and soul of hospitality. With full stomachs and grateful hearts, we finished getting ready and headed out at 9:15 AM to collect surveys. As we moved through the morning, speaking with locals and tourists, we were met with inspiring words and warm encouragement. There’s nothing quite like hearing your efforts are helping make the world a better place. Those moments remind us that real change is fueled by passion and persistence. As we like to say, one no is just two yeses waiting to happen. After a couple of productive hours, we broke for lunch and what a lunch it was. We were welcomed with a rich, and flavorful soup and Coca-Cola chicken that hit every comfort spot. Recharged and satisfied, we made our way to Lobaria Beach around 2:00 PM. From 2:00-4:30 PM. We snorkeled in crystal clear water, watched colorful fish swim below the surface, saw sea lions playing, and turtles riding waves. Afterwards, we stretched out under the sun to unwind. Next we returned to our dwelling and freshened up for dinner. We ate dinner at Giuseppe’s. Today was a perfect balance of meaningful work, deep connection, and quiet moments of joy. These are the days that remind us why we are here and keep us moving forward.
