Day 16 in Galapagos
Hola!
Today started bright and early with a ferry from San Cristobal to our new island for the next week, Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is the most populated island on the archipelago and is home to the Charles Darwin research station. We got to our hotel and headed to an amazing lunch of fish and chicken parmesan. We then walked around the town for a little bit, which is much larger than the one on San Cristobal. We walked by some mangroves, which serve as a nursery for baby sharks. We then walked along the pier, spotting sharks and stingrays. After, we all enjoyed some gelato and coffee. The rest of the day was mostly spent exploring the city or relaxing at the hotel until a pizza movie night at the hotel. Tomorrow, we look forward to surveying residents and tourists in a new town!
Stay tuned for our next blog post!
