Day 21 in Galapagos!

Hola everyone!!

Today was another full day of surveying! From morning until late afternoon, we hit the streets gathering data and talking with both locals and visitors. Even though we weren’t doing anything especially glamorous, it still felt like we were contributing something meaningful. Also, surveying has given us a chance to see parts of Santa Cruz we hadn’t noticed before. Now that a lot of the survey work is behind us, we’re looking ahead to our trip to Isabela Island tomorrow. Isabela is the largest island in the Galapagos, known for its wild beauty, volcanic landscapes, and incredible biodiversity. The island was formed by six volcanoes, five of which are still active, making it one of the most volcanically active places on earth. It’s home to marine iguanas, giant tortoises, penguins, and more. Compared to Santa Cruz, it’s quieter and more remote, which I think will be a welcome change of pace. Thanks for following along!
