Day 6 in Ecuador!

Hola amigos!

Today was our sixth day in Ecuador! Our travel day began in the dark with our bags packed and loaded into the bus by 4:30 am as we left Quito behind. We took a bus ride to the airport, and then a short flight over to Guayaquil. Despite a brief delay due to plane trouble, we eventually landed in San Cristóbal, where we were greeted with some warmer weather. We took a short bus ride to our hostel and had just enough time to settle in before heading to USFQ. There, we received a delicious lunch, an introduction to the program, a tour of the campus, and a rundown of important safety information for our time on the island. Afterwards, we had some free time, so we came back to the hostel and relaxed. Later, we made our way to the beach, where sea lions lounged on the sand. Some of us swam in the ocean, while others explored the coastline or just took it all in. We ended the day with pizza for dinner and ice cream for dessert. It was definitely a long day, but we’re excited for what’s to come!
