Day 8 In Galapagos

 Hola! Today was a packed day filled with our first batch of surveys for the trip! We started the morning with an amazing breakfast of cheese toast, eggs, and avocado. We practiced our scripts for survey recruitment and headed off to the pier to start surveying for the day. Surveying with sea lions, sea turtles, and marine iguanas in the background was amazing! After a couple hours, we stopped for lunch, which was fish or pork with rice. We completed a couple more hours of surveying and headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. On the way, we met the president of USFQ and learned about conservation and tourism in the islands. Finally, we had an amazing seafood dinner at an oceanfront restaurant. Can’t wait for some more snorkeling and surveying tomorrow!!
