Day 10 in San Cristobal
Hey! Today we had a full day of giving surveys and got to talk to many tourists and residents. We woke up to a delicious breakfast of bread, cheese, boiled eggs, and papaya. Then, we split up to cover different areas of the town and started our surveys. The weather was nice and sunny, and we enjoyed hanging with sea lions and marine iguanas all day. The university (USFQ) was having a “Day of the Shark” event that helped us reach a lot of people. It was interesting to hear feedback from residents and tourists alike on the questions we are asking in the surveys and the importance of One Health. We even met people from Germany, Belgium, and England! Some of us had lunch (chicken) at Lucky’s while others surveyed on USFQ’s campus. After lunch, we surveyed the rest of the afternoon before getting ready for dinner. We ate dinner while watching the sunset at a beautiful outdoor restaurant called The Pier. Most of us got fish or chicken and we laughed the night away. We ended the night shopping at stores along the waterfront before heading to bed. Overall, it was a fun day of surveys and interaction with all kinds of people.
¡Chao!
