Day 18 in Santa Cruz

We woke up around 8 AM, and had a great breakfast consisting of mango juice, scrambled eggs, French toast, fruit and bread. We got ready to survey around 9 AM, and then we walked down to the pier. The local church dismissed at 10 AM, so we got quite a few surveys. We all took a coffee break, where I got a matcha lemonade and some others got a variety of lattes. Afterwards, we walked to lunch at 1835 where we all got the $15 meal deal. I got a great sandwich with chicken, avocado, roasted eggplant, and cheese. After lunch we continued surveying where I ran into a local tour guide named Jimmy. Jimmy was super informative and gave me lots of great information about the islands, tourism, conservation, and healthcare. Most people living in the Galapagos have to travel to the mainland to receive adequate healthcare, in terms of specialists. After a good conversation, our group continued surveying until 5 PM. We all got ready for dinner where we ate at La Birra. It was super good and we got churros and tiramisu for dessert! We were super tired so we all went back to the hotel and went to bed!

Buenas Noches!
