Day 3 in Quito

Hey hey! On day 3 in Quito, we had a slow morning with breakfast at the hotel. Unfortunately Dr M caught a stomach bug so class was canceled (feel better Dr M!). We walked/shopped around the town square in Cumbayá before heading to the city mall. Here we ate an assortment of delicious sushi at Noe Paseo! After lunch, we drove up in the mountains and took a scenic hike to a thermal pool and playground area. We had fun playing around on swings and seesaws, and some Ecuadorians even asked to take a photo with us “turistas!” When we got back to the hotel, we also did a pharmacy run to get a few needed items. To end the day, we ate dinner at a chicken place called Hornero then enjoyed some live music. Though the free day was unprecedented, we made the most of it and got to see more of the life and land of Ecuador!
