Day 8 in Galapagos!

 Hello!

We have officially finished a week in the trip, which means I'm back for today's recap! We woke up and ate breakfast hamburgers, and after that we went over more training for our surveys while working on last minute adjustments to the questions. Upon completion, we spent time going over our scripts for when we start talking to people about our surveys, with one designated for tourists or residents in either English or Spanish. Once that was finished and we had everything sorted out, we went out for lunch, indulging in seafood rice, curry, and soup. After we satisfied our appetites, we went back to our hotel and prepared for survey taking. We ventured out to the pier and split up into groups, each of us determined to fill out as many of them as we could. In the end, we ended up with a total of 69 surveys completed across all of us. After we rested up, we went out for dinner at this really nice local chicken restaurant that mainly served rotissere chicken. We then finished the day eating ice cream and looking at the sea lions on the beach. I'm really excited to do more survey taking tomorrow, its been really fun talking to the locals and tourists and getting to learn more about the town and culture we're living in. Looking forward to the rest of this trip, and I'll see you guys again next week!

Signing off,

Tanush Menon
